White Rim and Mineral Bottom Road

As many of you may remember last fall a major rainstorm hit Canyonlands and washed out the Mineral Bottom Road. This road is a major access and exit point for the White Rim Trail. The White Rim is a must do if you are looking for a great backcountry experience in the Moab area. The views from the White Rim rival some of the best scenery in the world. To find out more about the White Rim visit this great website.

Well after the Governor of Utah got involved to hurry the process of getting the road fixed. We are excited to announce that the road will reopen on March 29, 2011. The road is actually done two months sooner then anticipated. This is great news for spring outdoor enthusiasts. If you are looking for a great few days in one of the most beautiful and remote places in the lower 48 then this is the trip for you.
